DANVILLE — Children of all ages will soon be able to use the Danville Area Community Center’s new outdoor play area. DACC officials say a shaded, nature-inspired play area is taking shape beneath trees outside the center. Heather Andrusis, the Children’s Programs Coordinator at the DACC says it will be a new place to build, imagine and explore outdoors.
Summer campers helped launch the project by spreading a large pile of wood chips using buckets, wheelbarrows, rakes and shovels. The area will eventually include logs, outdoor blackboards, seating and other play features. Van Wagner & Sons Tree Service and Service Electric Cablevision donated materials for the project.
