WEST HEMLOCK TOWNSHIP — A New York man died Friday after his vehicle left Interstate 80 in Montour County. The Montour County Coroner’s Office says Randall Cassidy Jr. of Allegany, New York, may have suffered a medical emergency before the crash.
The vehicle left the eastbound lanes near mile marker 228 around 7 p.m. and entered heavy brush. Cassidy was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife, Samantha Cassidy, and the family dog were also in the vehicle but were not injured. An autopsy is scheduled Monday in Allentown.
No information is being disclosed by state police.
