MILTON — A Maryland man now faces aggravated assault and DUI charges following a May crash along Sodom Road near Milton. The Standard Journal is reporting that state police say 54-year-old John Badman drove off the road, striking a culvert and telephone pole.
Badman and passenger Amie Daubert-Badman were taken to Geisinger Medical Center with multiple fractures and other injuries. Police say Jeep data showed it was traveling between 104 and 113 miles per hour before crashing.
Badman’s blood alcohol level allegedly measured .07% about an hour after the crash and .051% roughly two hours afterward. He was released on $50,000 unsecured bail, with a preliminary hearing scheduled .
