SUNBURY — Lowe’s has donated a commercial drum sander to the new Susquehanna Valley Technical Institute. The equipment will support students in wood manufacturing and building and construction trades programs.
The Institute says students will use it to learn finishing techniques, material preparation, equipment safety, and project workflow. Executive Director Dr. Lenaire Ahlum says the donation gives students experience with equipment reflecting workplace standards.
The institute says the sander will support training for careers in carpentry, cabinetmaking, construction, maintenance, and manufacturing. Information about SVTI programs is available at www.SVTech.Institute.
