HARRISBURG — A pesky vector has appeared again around here.
DEP says West Nile virus has been detected in mosquitoes across several Pennsylvania counties, including parts of our region. Northumberland and Lycoming counties each have two positive samples. Clinton and Berks counties each have one, while Dauphin County has four.
Delaware County has recorded 15 positive samples, the highest total among the counties listed. No positive samples are reported in Snyder, Union, Montour, Columbia, Perry, Mifflin, Juniata, Schuylkill, or Centre counties. Pennsylvania’s current West Nile virus risk remains normal.
