STATE COLLEGE — Wildfire smoke will continue reducing visibility and air quality into Saturday morning across Pennsylvania. AccuWeather predicts a cold front will bring scattered showers and strong thunderstorms Saturday afternoon and evening. An isolated tornado is possible if smoke clears enough for sunshine to increase instability.
The rain and shifting winds should gradually clear the smoke, leading to sunnier, less humid weather Sunday. DEP says, until the smoke clears, everyone should limit strenuous outdoor activity. They say children, older adults and people with respiratory conditions facing the greatest risk.
