ALLENWOOD — Farmers in Union County are raising concerns about a proposed PPL transmission line that would help power a phased data center project near Route 15. PNK Group says the proposed power line must cross several farms in Gregg Township, Union County.
The farmer says all that causes soil problems, reduced crop yields, and problems with aerial applications. The Pennsylvania Farm Bureau says data center development is also making farmland more difficult to buy or lease. The group says PPL can easily choose existing right—of-ways and avoid farmland.
