WILLIAMSPORT — The Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association says its Floating Classroom series is now underway aboard the Hiawatha Paddleboat in Williamsport.
The next Floating Classroom is scheduled for , and will focus on plastics in the Susquehanna River. There will be an interactive presentation on emerging contaminants, and participants build microplastic testing devices from household materials.
Riverkeeper John Zaktansky says the cruises help people learn about the river while they are on it. Other programs this season will cover bats, muskrats, animal tracking, streambanks, mussels, and road salt.
