LEWISBURG — PennLive reports that a Union County boy who disappeared nearly 40 years ago has been declared legally dead. PennLive is reporting… 2-year-old Corey Edkin was last seen , 1986, at a home in New Columbia. PennLive reports his father filed the court petition, which was granted .
State police and Union County District Attorney Brian Kerstetter say the ruling does not end the investigation. Corey’s disappearance led to extensive searches by police, rescue teams, dogs, helicopters, and divers. No trace of him was found. Authorities say leads are still being pursued. Anyone with information can contact state police.
