MIFFLINTOWN — WHTM reports a 74-year-old Mifflintown man was killed night while crossing a road in Juniata County. State police say the crash happened around 9:13pm on William Penn Highway. WHTM reports Joseph Barrick was in the middle of the highway when he was struck by a vehicle.
State police say the 19-year-old driver tried to swerve to avoid hitting him. Police say the driver stayed at the scene after the crash. William Penn Highway was closed for several hours while police investigated. State police at Lewistown are handling the crash investigation.
