NorthcentralPA.com reports Union County judge Michael Piecuch rejected a no contest plea for a Millmont woman accused of stealing more than $50,000 from an American Legion. The plea deal for 57-year-old Pamela Hackenburg was rejected last week. Hackenburg had pleaded no contest to a felony theft charge. Hackenburg was charged for allegedly stealing from the American Legion in Mifflinburg while serving as treasurer and bookkeeper in 2023. Hackenburg is currently serving a two to four year sentence in state prison for stealing $533,000 from Gregg Township, Centre County, while serving as the township secretary.
