WILLIAMSPORT — Pennsylvania College of Technology has opened a new Pittsburgh training site to support building performance and weatherization workers. Penn College says the facility will expand hands-on training for Pennsylvania’s energy-efficiency industry.
The new “Penn College at Pittsburgh” site is located on Susquehanna Street in Pittsburgh. Trainees will learn skills tied to home energy efficiency, utility cost reduction, and healthier housing.
College leaders say the labs reflect real-world conditions, including energy audits and home system upgrades. The site was supported by state funding through DCED and a partnership with Pittsburgh Gateways Corporation.
