SELINSGROVE — A student pilot and flight instructor safely made an emergency landing Saturday morning on Route 11/15 in Selinsgrove. WNEP is reporting… Central Susquehanna Regional 911 official Chad Aucker says the Lancaster County pair had been practicing takeoffs and landings at Penn Valley Airport.
Aucker says they developed engine trouble shortly after takeoff and landed on an empty stretch of the highway just after 9am. The plane pulled into an emergency vehicle median, and no injuries were reported. Selinsgrove police and state police responded, and the FAA cleared the aircraft to be towed back to the airport.
