LEWISBURG — The League of Women Voters of the Lewisburg Area has honored Janice Butler for community service in Lewisburg and Union County. Butler received the 2025 Judy Anderson Community Service Award during the League’s annual meeting May 12 at Brasserie Louis.
The League says Butler was recognized for decades of service, advocacy, and community leadership, including work at Bucknell University. She also served with the Buffalo Valley Regional Police Commission, the Bucknell Institute for Lifelong Learning and SUN Immigrant Community Support.
League members say Butler helped strengthen community institutions and support vulnerable residents. They say the award recognizes service that improves life in Union County.
