LEWISBURG — A Lewisburg Area High School student is being honored for civic leadership and community service.
The League of Women Voters of the Lewisburg Area says Gibson O’Mealy is this year’s Nancy M. Neuman Citizenship Award recipient.
The award includes a $1,000 scholarship and recognizes a graduating senior committed to informed action and service. Committee Chair Helen Nunn says O’Mealy’s leadership and dedication to public service made him an outstanding choice.
O’Mealy has served as student council president, Model UN president and Lewisburg Borough Junior Council Member. The League says he will attend Howard University to study political science and pursue Constitutional Law.
