ELYSBURG — More national honors are coming to Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg. The National Amusement Park Historical Association says Knoebels was named Favorite Traditional Amusement Park in its 40th annual survey.
The association says Knoebels has held that favorite traditional park title since 2017. Its Phoenix roller coaster was also named Favorite Wood Roller Coaster for the 15th consecutive year.
NAPHA says Phoenix has earned that wooden coaster honor 20 times since 2000. The association says its members are experienced amusement park visitors, averaging more than 110 parks visited and more than 400 roller coasters ridden.
