BLOOMSBURG — The Press Enterprise is reporting… A replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial is returning to Bloomsburg next month. Organizers say The Moving Wall will arrive Thursday, June 4, with a police and motorcycle escort.
The newspaper reports volunteers will assemble the 74-panel wall at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. It opens after a 9am ceremony Friday, June 5, and remains open until taps Sunday, June 7, at 8pm.
Renee Moist, with the Bloomsburg American Legion Woman’s Auxiliary, told the Press Enterprise, local veterans groups are raising $8,000 for the visit. Vietnam veteran Jack Pollard will speak during the opening ceremony.
