NORTHUMBERLAND — A tractor-trailer crash in Northumberland closed part of Route 11 for about 5 hours Sunday morning.
The crash happened along Route 11 southbound, in the 500 block, just past Prince Street. The Northumberland and Point Township volunteer companies were dispatched around 5:30am. Borough chiefs arrived and they say they found the tractor-trailer had hit two utility poles and multiple parked cars.
The collision pushed one parked vehicle into another, and one of the vehicles caught fire. Northumberland police say Route 11 was closed from Prince Street to Hanover Street for about five hours while crews worked at the scene. A detour was set up during the closure. There is no details from Northumberland Police about the crash.
