WASHINGTON — US Senator Dave McCormick is facing new scrutiny over his cryptocurrency investments while helping advance federal crypto legislation in the Senate. PennLive reports McCormick owns between $1 million and $5 million in Bitwise Asset Management, a firm offering Bitcoin and Ethereum investment funds.
McCormick recently voted to advance the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act and sponsored an amendment tied to crypto-backed portfolios. Democrats criticized parts of the bill, warning it could weaken investor protections and increase financial risks. Government watchdog groups also questioned whether lawmakers should regulate industries in which they hold significant investments.

US Sen. Fetterman Chief Of Staff Resigns Amid New Report
WASHINGTON — US Senator John Fetterman is losing another top staff member as chief of staff Cabelle St. John plans to resign in the coming weeks. Reports say St. John is the third chief of staff to leave Fetterman’s office since he joined the Senate in 2023.
The resignation comes as New York Magazine reports a close adviser and fundraiser for Orthodox Jewish causes has gained unusual influence in Fetterman’s office. The report also says Fetterman’s strong support for Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has strained relationships with some Democratic colleagues and staffers.
