DANVILLE — Geisinger has opened a new state-of-the-art electrophysiology lab designed to expand advanced heart rhythm care across the region. Officials say the new lab, located inside the Hospital for Advanced Medicine, will help reduce wait times and improve access for patients.
Doctors say electrophysiology focuses on diagnosing and treating abnormal heart rhythms that can cause dizziness, fatigue, fainting, and shortness of breath. The addition brings Geisinger’s invasive cardiology services to six operational labs, including three cardiac catheterization labs and three electrophysiology labs.
