NORTHUMBERLAND — A major water pipe replacement project is now complete in Point Township, Northumberland County. Pennsylvania American Water issued a news release saying they’ve finished a $620,000 project. They say they’ve replaced more than 2,000 feet of aging water main along King Street.
The company says crews also installed two new fire hydrants and reconnected 36 customer service lines to improve everyday water service and emergency response. They say the project strengthens long-term reliability and fire protection for homes and businesses in the area. Final paving is scheduled for June.
