MIDDLEBURG — The Middleburg Community Pool is expected to reopen May 30 after community fundraising efforts helped save the facility from possible closure. Middleburg recreation officials say residents rallied this spring after financial concerns threatened the future of the longtime summertime attraction.
The Greater Susquehanna Valley YMCA will manage day-to-day operations, staffing, and programming at the pool. MARA says it will continue owning and maintaining the facility while fundraising efforts continue to secure the pool’s long-term future. Officials say the pool has served local families for more than 60 years.
