HARRISBURG — Talk of a party switch continues to follow Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman. TribLive reports Republicans have quietly encouraged him to join their ranks or become independent. Reports say allies of former President Donald Trump have even discussed support if he switched parties.
Sen. Fetterman tells Politico he has no interest and plans to remain a Democrat. He says he votes with Democrats about 93 percent of the time. However, TribLive reports he has broken with the party on several high-profile issues. Fetterman has recently criticized what he calls a growing socialist shift within the Democratic Party.
