MONTOUR TOWNSHIP, COLUMBIA COUNTY — A body was discovered morning in Montour Township, Columbia County, prompting an investigation. State police say the discovery happened around 6:50am along Ridge Road.
Troopers say East Central 911 (Columbia and Montour County) received the initial call about the body. State police say their major case team is now leading the ongoing investigation.
They say there is no threat to the surrounding community at this time. They say updates will be limited to avoid jeopardizing the investigation and warn unofficial reports should not be considered reliable.
