DANVILLE — Save the Date…Danville Borough will conduct a floodwall closure exercise along Route 11 two weeks. They’ll test emergency preparedness and community safety systems during the scheduled drill Sunday, June 14, from 5am to 1pm. Borough officials say Route 11 will be temporarily closed during the exercise.
Motorists are asked to use alternate routes. Officials say drivers should expect minor delays in the area during the closure period. They say access will be restored promptly after the exercise concludes. They say the test simulates installation of flood protection barriers designed to prevent high water from entering the community.
