WATSONTOWN — The US Navy is celebrating the nation’s 250th birthday by highlighting the men and women serving . Officials say the campaign shares stories of sailors from communities across the country.
The Navy says Constructionman Ryan Foura, a Watsontown native, serves with a Seabee unit in Gulfport, Mississippi. They say Foura graduated from Warrior Run Junior Senior High School in 2024 and joined the Navy two years ago.
Foura says his blue-collar upbringing helped shape his work ethic and success in the service. Navy officials say Seabees support construction, disaster response, and global operations defending freedom and protecting prosperity.
