LEWISBURG — A major land donation in Lewisburg is paving the way for expanded services for crime victims.
Transitions of PA says WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital donated 2.88 acres for a future crime victim center. Officials say the land will support the new, state of the art, comprehensive center serving Union, Snyder, and Northumberland counties.
Mae-Ling Kranz, the CEO of Transitions says, “The gift reflects a major investment in survivor safety, healing, and long-term access to visible, community-facing services for individuals and families across Union, Snyder, and Northumberland counties.”
She says planning is still in early stages, but the goal is more accessible, community-based services. The donation comes as Transitions marks 50 years serving victims and families across the Susquehanna Valley. Transitions provides counseling, legal support, prevention education, and housing assistance for survivors.
