LEWISBURG — Lewisburg officials have announced plans for an Arbor Day celebration with a ceremonial tree planting next week. 3pm at Meadow View Court they will plant a new tulip tree. Shade Tree Commission Chair Amy Levan will lead the ceremony.
She says the borough has marked Arbor Day annually since earning Tree City USA status 41 years ago. Borough council member Erin Karahuta will read the official proclamation. Officials said the planting marks the first Arbor Day tree placed in a public right-of-way in the 4th Ward.
