DANVILLE — Students Announce Grants At Youth Philanthropy Ceremony.
Students from 12 school districts and the CSIU announced their grant allocations Wednesday at the Danville High School auditorium. The Youth in Philanthropy program, supported by the Community Giving Foundation, puts funding decisions in students’ hands.
Organizers say 232 students across 20 school groups awarded $100,000 this year to 82 organizations. Among the largest grants, Southern Columbia students awarded $3,000 to AGAPE Love From Above for its “Bare Necessities” initiative.
Students present their funding decisions publicly, building leadership and community awareness. More information is available at csgiving.org.
