HARRISBURG — The governor has signed three executive orders aimed at strengthening protections for state residents who have disabilities. The orders expand rights, privacy safeguards, and representation in state government.
The administration says the actions create a new advisory commission, reestablish the Developmental Disabilities Council, and reinforce nondiscrimination policies. State leaders say the orders also limit how personal data is collected and used.
Officials say the moves build on recent investments in disability services and workforce support programs. The governor says the goal is to ensure people with disabilities have a voice in decisions affecting their lives.
