The Daily Item reports a North Carolina man accused of stealing nearly $100,000 from ATM’s in Snyder, Union and Crawford counties has pleaded no contest to theft in Union County. The newspaper reports 42-year-old Antoni Jesus Garcia-Cordoba entered the plea, not admitting guilt, but admitting there was enough evidence that a jury could find him guilty. Garcia-Cordoba is accused of using a technique called “jackpotting” to get into ATM’s at three Central Penn Bank and Trust locations to dispense $97,000 in cash. He is incarcerated at the Union County Jail on $100,000 cash bail.
