LEWISBURG — The Daily Item reports a caregiver from Lewisburg pleaded guilty Thursday in Union County Court to abandoning her patient. The newspaper reports 36-year-old Danielle Kitchens pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor count of endangering the welfare of a care-dependent person. Kitchens, an employee of Bayada Home Health Care in Williamsport, was charged for leaving the patient alone for two days while working as her caregiver. The newspaper reports the patient’s daughter contacted state police to request a welfare check after not hearing from her mother for several days.
