HARRISBURG — Residents can learn more about a major transmission line project later this month. State house member Joanne Stehr says an open house is planned for .
Officials say the event will run from 6pm to 8pm at the Mahantongo Fire Company in Pitman. Representatives from PPL Electric Utilities will be available to answer questions.
They say the project involves rebuilding about 37 miles of transmission line. It will run from Shamokin Dam to the Frackville area and include a new switchyard. Stehr says the event gives residents a chance to learn details and share concerns. The open house is free and open to the public.
