DANVILLE — Organizers of the Danville Emergency Responder Academy are recruiting Danville Area High School seniors for a co-op program. They say the academy is part of an effort to reverse a decades-long decline in volunteer firefighters and EMS workers across Pennsylvania.
Classes are planned from through , weekdays from 8am to 10am, with space for 12 students. Organizers say participants can earn firefighting and emergency medical certifications while preparing for careers after graduation. Questions go to
