The Daily Item reports Northumberland County District Attorney Michael O’Donnell, District Judge Rachel Wiest Benner and the Sunbury police department will be targeting outstanding warrants in the city in the coming weeks. The newspaper reports the upcoming enforcement effort will focus on magisterial warrants that are outstanding in Sunbury. O’Donnell tells the Daily Item the 2025 warrant sweep resulted in the collection of $32,244 in Sunbury, $5,815 in Northumberland and $15,948 countywide. O’Donnell also told the newspaper the initiative will expand to Milton, Mount Carmel and Shamokin in the coming months.
