NEW BERLIN — A Union County attorney may lose his law license for three months if a recommended suspension is upheld. A hearing committee says attorney Daryl Yount violated professional conduct rules in an estate matter involving a Winfield couple.
The committee says Yount charged $10,000, did incomplete work, and refused a full refund after 11 business days. The report says draft papers contained errors, wrong names, and information tied to other clients.
Committee members also pointed to Yount’s courtroom behavior during the disciplinary case. In the report, they call his conduct “blatantly rude and dismissive” and say it “raises serious doubts about his fitness to practice law.” The Pennsylvania Supreme Court will make the final decision.
