The Daily Item reports a former emergency room nurse at Wellspan Evangelical Community Hospital has been charged for his role in a child porn ring. 49-year-old Rocco Scolamacchia Jr. is being held at the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Philadelphia. According to the FBI and federal prosecutors, Scolamacchia joined an online forum that encouraged members to sexually abuse children and record the abuse for distribution on the internet. The newspaper reports that Scolamacchia offered sterile needles from the hospital to members of the group, who were active drug users. He also admitted to sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl. He faces up to 20 years in federal prison for the charges filed against him.
