WILLIAMSPORT — The First Community Foundation Partnership says the annual Raise the Region fundraiser once again demonstrated strong community support for local nonprofits. The Foundation says this year’s event raised more than $2.27 million. Foundation officials say more than 7,500 donors made over 15,000 gifts during the 30-hour online fundraiser. The event supported 344 nonprofit organizations across seven counties in north central Pennsylvania. Officials say Camp Susque Inc. raised the most among large nonprofits with $105,684.
The Susquehanna Valley Chorale led medium organizations, while the Lycoming Clinton Counties Homeschool Association topped small nonprofits. Organizers say the event also distributed more than $342,000 in stretch funds and prizes. More information is available at RaiseTheRegion.org.
