The Daily Item reports a jury has found a Mount Carmel man not guilty of attempted homicide and aggravated assault. The newspaper reports Bruce Antonio Thompson Jr. was accused of shooting Shariezk Langhorn of Mount Carmel after a dispute on May 6, 2022. Thompson’s trial began on Tuesday and the jury found him not guilty of attempted homicide and aggravated assault, but guilty of fleeing and reckless endangerment. The newspaper says he has already spent four years in jail and will be sentenced at a later date.
