Thruway Contract Awarded For Final Major Phase
MONTOURSVILLE — PennLive.com is reporting… PennDOT says the last major construction contract for the CSVT has now been awarded. Officials say Trumbull Corp. and Golden Triangle Construction will handle paving and related work on the southern section.
PennDOT says the bid was more than $186 million, with most work starting in spring. They say the contract includes paving the highway, completing the Route 61 connector, replacing the Route 61 overpass, and resurfacing several local roads. Officials say the southern section is expected to open in 2027, with the Route 61 connector in 2028.
