LEWISBURG — The Standard Journal is reporting… Pennsylvania’s acting education secretary toured Lewisburg Area High School to highlight new state budget investments. Officials say Dr. Carrie Rowe visited classrooms to showcase increases in K–12 funding for 2025–2026.
Dr. Rowe says the $50.1 billion budget includes more than $900 million for education, with boosts for adequacy funding, basic education, special education, and school infrastructure.
Standard Journal reports, the secretary said universal free breakfast, mental-health support and early literacy initiatives are also funded. Student leaders guided the tour, and Rowe says their feedback helps shape policy. More details are available at education.pa.gov.
