ZERBE TOWNSHIP — The News Item is reporting…In Northumberland County, the Zerbe Township supervisors voted 2-1 night to suspend their one-man police department. Officials did not give a reason, and solicitor Antonio Michetti told residents the issue involves personnel and could not be discussed publicly.
Residents were advised to call state police for assistance. Supervisor Clayton Bartholomew voted against the suspension, saying he didn’t think it was the right move. Supervisor Dan Zablosky said Chief James Hornberger Jr. was suspended, not fired, and will receive due process.
