DI: Explosives, Counterfeit Bills Found During Mifflinburg Stop
MIFFLINBURG — The Daily Item is reporting… Police say a Millmont man was arrested after officers found homemade explosives, counterfeit money, and weapons during a traffic stop. The arrest happened around 1am on Nov. 1 at the Sheetz on East Chestnut Street.
The newspaper reports… Police say 41-year-old Bret Leitzel was taken into custody after an explosive device was found in his jacket. A second device and drugs were later discovered in his car.
The Daily Item says Leitzel faces four felony charges, including facsimile weapons of mass destruction, and 23 misdemeanors. His bail was set at $35,000 cash. A hearing is scheduled for Nov. 25.
