SUNBURY — The Daily Item is reporting… Shikellamy School Board advanced disciplinary charges Thursday against two teachers, potentially leading to public hearings.
The newspaper reports…Band director Tyler Kerstetter faces 26 allegations, including claims of grooming a student, though the alleged victim denied any wrongdoing publicly. The former student and her mother told directors the accusations were false and said the teen was never interviewed by authorities.
Daily Item reports… Teacher Angie Olson faces charges of mistreating students, including dumping a backpack, falling asleep on a trip, and being untruthful. Both Kerstetter and Olson skipped Thursday’s meeting, and police say they are aware of the case. Hearings could follow soon.
