SELINSGROVE – A tumultuous weather day Sunday.
Wind gusts up to 45-miles per hour were clocked at the Penn Valley Airport in Selinsgrove Sunday. Strong winds between 6am and 5pm were consistently in the 30 mile per hour range. A Tornado Watch was posted for Sunday afternoon.
Rainfall amounts totaled about ¾ of an inch of rain.
PPL says there were over one thousand power outages in The Valley, many of which have been resolved. They had many more outages in Lancaster, Luzerne, and Lackawanna counties.
No major problems were reported by 911 centers in Snyder, Union, Northumberland, Montour, and Columbia Counties.
