The Selinsgrove Area School District has grief counselors available following the death of a student on Monday. 11-year-old Tabby Welshans died following a 14-month battle with brain cancer. Tabby’s mother Jennifer thanked the community for all of the support they have shown to their family during this tragic time. A district wide remembrance will be announced at a later date. Team Tabby had more than 2,000 followers on Facebook, with members supporting Tabby and the Welshan family since they learned of her inoperable brain tumor in January of 2024. Several fundraisers were planned to support the family.
