LEWISBURG — Lewisburg Area School District is celebrating another strong showing in U.S. News & World Report’s annual high school rankings. District officials shared the results on Facebook as students return for the new academic year.
U.S. News ranks Lewisburg Area High School 37th among 771 Pennsylvania public high schools. Nationally, the school ranks 1,119th among nearly 18,000 schools.
The school earned an overall score of nearly 94 out of 100. U.S. News also reports 51 percent of Lewisburg students participate in Advanced Placement coursework and exams.
The school serves more than 550 students in grades nine through twelve, with a student-teacher ratio of 13-to-1. District officials say the recognition reflects the work and dedication of students, staff and families.
