HARRISBURG — More than $1.4 million in Pennsylvania Agricultural Innovation Grants are headed to projects in five area counties. The Shapiro administration says the funding will help farms and agricultural businesses adopt new technology and improve efficiency.
Clinton County’s Pine Creek Seed Farm receives $310,000 for seed-processing improvements. Dauphin County projects receive nearly $400,000 for an anaerobic digester and dairy cattle monitoring.
Two Lycoming County projects receive about $210,000, while Mifflin County receives about $130,000. Three Northumberland County projects receive more than $360,000 for feed mill, food-waste and potato-harvesting improvements. More information is available at pa.gov/agencies/pda. Here is a list:

- Derek Wheeland — $129,800: AI-driven lumber scanning and automated lumber stacker.
- The Potting Bench — $80,000: Technology-enabled greenhouse operation.
Mifflin County
- Metzler Forest Products — $129,800: System converting forest waste into thermal energy and carbon products.
Northumberland County
- Clarks Feed Mills — $130,000: Regional poultry feed mill modernization.
- Furman Foods — $129,800: Waste optimization system for water recovery.
- Red Hill Farms — $104,000: Enhanced potato-harvesting system.
