UPPER AUGUSTA TOWNSHIP — A 14-year-old Sunbury boy has been charged after allegedly using nearly $1,000 in counterfeit money. State Police at Stonington say the incident happened at a Sunoco station along Route 890.
The defendant’s name is not being disclosed because of his age. Police say the teenager used about $960 in counterfeit bills at the business. The case is being handled in juvenile court. Police have not released additional details about where the counterfeit money came from.
