LEWISBURG — Union County Commissioners have approved more than $205,000 in federal Community Development Block Grant funding. The Standard-Journal reports that the money will support housing and sewer infrastructure projects.
About $111,000 will go to the Kelly Township Municipal Authority for a sewer lateral project. Roughly $47,000 each will support Union County housing rehabilitation and Mifflinburg Borough sanitary sewer reconstruction.
Commissioners also recognized Planning and Economic Development Director Shawn McLaughlin for work on the county’s award-winning culvert bundle project. That effort repaired six deteriorated county-owned bridges across several municipalities.
